Board of Directors Meeting
November 2, 2023
The Board of Directors meeting of the Haddonfield 65 Club was held on Thursday, November 2, 2023. The meeting was held in the 65 Club clubhouse.
Joseph Galliera, 1st Vice President (President David Tarditi had requested the 1st Vice President lead the meeting as he needed to attend the funeral of a friend) called the meeting to order at 10:00 AM. Joseph Galliera led the directors in the Pledge of Allegiance and provided a prayer.
Acting Secretary Stephen Anderson then made an attendance roll call, and 2 members of the board of 15 were not present.
Minutes– Stephen Anderson, acting secretary noted that the October minutes had been distributed, posted earlier, and approved by the Directors.
Treasurers Report-Henry Zaleski
The Club’s finances are ahead of expectations due in part to the profitability of the Lions Club Flee Market.
Membership dues are beginning to be submitted. More than 50 members have paid to date. A notice will be sent out to remind members to submit membership payments before year-end 2023.
The 2024 Budget will be prepared for the next Board Meeting in December.
The Financial Report presented to the Board was approved.
Events -Joseph Galliera
Upcoming events in which members are encouraged to participate by committing their time.
November 11 – 5K Run – Marshalls to monitor the raceway. Reporting at Christ the King Church at 8:00 AM.
November 25th Turkey Trot – Marshalls to monitor the raceway. Report at 65 Club House, 8:00 AM.
The person who handles the Christmas cookies is Henry Leimkuhler. Also, he left a list at the club for review. People should check that list and add names of men they think should receive cookies.

Nominating Committee
Request for suggestions and volunteers for three Director’s positions. Names to be sent to Bill Brown and Roger Jacobs.
Positions for the Board of Directors are also open as some members are at the end of their term. Also, request that all current leaders of activities confirm their commitment to 2024.
Luncheons -Abe Ferdas
Stage luncheon was very successful with 58 attending.
Wine & Cheese -Nov 4th -Grace Episcopal Church Parish Hall – 7:00 PM dance music by Jack Poupard and his group.
Speakers-Joseph Galliera
A full schedule of speakers thru the end of 2023 and into the first quarter of 2024 were shared at the meeting. Highlight in 2024 – Black History.
Encouragement from members to suggest potential speakers.
Trips – Stephen Anderson
Stall in trip planning due to trip suggestions not engaging for members.
New potential trips will be promoted through newsletter and website to whet the appetite of members. This will include Holocaust Museum and, Navy Shipyard.
Christmas Party-Jay Cokos and Abe Ferdas
Discussion regarding moving the location of the Christmas party to Tavistock from Methodist Church.
Vote-by Board – 100% to make a location for the Christmas party scheduled for December 14th, for lunch, to Tavistock instead of the Methodist Church.
Christmas Holiday – unrelated to the Christmas Party
Request that members provide their Christmas Cookie List to Jay Cokos or Bernie Schaming
Camden Salvation Army Red Kettle requests volunteers to man the Red Kettles needed. Starting November 24 to December 23. To ring the bells at near retail stores set by the Salvation Army, in Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester Counties.
Side Suggestion not on the Agenda – Consider replacing the Club House rug as a budget item for 2024.
No proposal was made on the subject, but general agreement that it should be considered.

Joseph Gallieria asked if any further issues were to be brought to the Board of Directors.
There were none. He then asked for a motion to Adjourn the meeting. The motion was made and seconded. 11:45 AM EDT.
