The Board of Directors meeting of the Haddonfield 65 Club was held
on Thursday July 2, 2020. The 65 Club clubhouse was closed due to the Corona virus
shutdown. The meeting was conducted remotely using the Zoom program and was set
up by Al Schmidt and Richard Bonnette.

Al Schmidt and Rich Bonnette, were on the call.

minutes as previously distributed and posted. There was one change. The CD interest rate was 1.15%, not 1.5% as
recorded in the June minutes.
Bill Brown informed the directors that he had a haircut the previous
week and his barber had enjoyed the time off so much that he was retiring. Bill said he would invite the barber to join
the 65 club and to make a presentation on the experiences of being a barber for
fifty (50) years.
Bill also informed the directors that the bus company had returned
the deposit for the now cancelled August Phillies trip. Upon discussion, the
BOD voted to refund the bus money instead of trying to reschedule a trip later
in the season or next year.

stated. Dave asked if the club was
willing to sponsor or partially sponsor two students. The BOD had a brief
discussion of whether this cost should be incurred, what it would be and should
this be incurred next year. The cost must be added to the budget. This issue was tabled until the August meeting.
- Fred Willis and Phil Kinsey requested approval to
start a monthly chess club at the club house. The chess meeting would be held the
second Thursday after the business meeting. Fred and Phil requested the
use of two tables and announcement space in the monthly Newsletter. They also promise to teach chess if

by Congress, the Required Minimum Distribution in an IRA or 401 k, did not
have to be withdrawn this year.
