was held on Thursday January 8, 2015. President Brown called the meeting to
order at 10 AM. Roll was called and 11 members were present.
The secretary read the board meeting minutes from December
4, 2014. The minutes were approved as read.
Walt Baker gave the treasurers report and it was approved
for audit. Bernie Schaming reported that the PSE&G bill for December

explaining that they are reading the meter incorrectly. He sent them a check

Presidents Items
· President Brown mentioned the
loss of three club members in the past few weeks including Ed North, Jack
Nuneville and Bob Ball.
· Joe Ade reported that he expects
to have the next tournament of champions within a month. He hasn’t yet decided
what the contest will be.
· Joe initiated a discussion on
membership. A number of idea were discussed one of which included contacting
the local churches to have a notice included in the church bulletins. It was
also suggested that we request that the Borough issue a proclamation in honor
of the 60th anniversary of the club. This proclamation could be used
as a point of discussion with contacts at the churches. The following board
members agreed to be points of contact with the churches. Joe Ade - Christ the
King, Al Schmidt - Grace Episcopal, Walt Baker & Charles Legge -
Haddonfield Methodist, and Warren Reintzel - Lutheran Church. Bill Brown will
discuss the proclamation with Mayor Kasko and Joe Ade will prepare a draft item
for the church bulletins for the board to review.
· Bernie reported that he and Bill
Brown visited Bill Hitchens and presented him with the award announced at the
Christmas party. Bill was very appreciative.
· President Brown initiated a
review of the Christmas party. All agreed that the food didn’t work out too
well this year. Because of the agenda order, the food was cold. Bill suggested
that if we contact PJ Whelihans next year, we limit the food to cheese &
crackers and other cold items. Everyone agreed that having the children sing
was a good idea since it relieved the members from straining our angelic
voices. We have not yet received a bill from the Methodist Church for the use
of the facility.
· Bill also asked for any feedback
on the casino trip. Those that attended felt it was a great trip and produced a
couple of winners. Some felt the show was not as good as previous Christmas
shows.
Old Business
· Bill reviewed the slate of
officers to be voted upon at today’s business meeting.
· The board thanked Ron Howley and
Charles Legge for the great job they did on the 5K Heart Run and the post run
gathering at the clubhouse. The post run gathering was a nice way to end the
event and a good time was had by those that were able to attend.
· Bill Brown reported that he
is interested in assisting Jack Aharon with trips after his tenure as president
ends today. He will discuss this with Jack.
New Business
· Bill Brown announced that
Tom Mervine agreed to chair the audit committee. The audit will be done some
time in the next month or so.
· Bill thanked board
members for their support over the past two years and appreciated the
opportunity to serve the organization.
The meeting adjourned at 10:55am.
Respectfully submitted,
Bernie Schaming, Secretary
