The board of directors meeting of the Haddonfield 65 Club
was held on Thursday May 4, 2017. President Henry Leimkuhler called the meeting
to order at 10 AM. Roll was called and 11 members were present.
The secretary read the board meeting minutes from April 6,
2017. The minutes were approved as read.
Walt Baker gave the treasurers
report and it was approved for audit. When all was said and
done, two members have resigned their membership. Walt also indicated that he
has not received a bill for the material purchased for the outside cleanup.
Membership
There were no new members this month.
Trips
· Bill
reported that the fishing trip is at the b reakeven point. Any additional
participation will be a bonus. He also updated the status of Phillies game, on
June 20. We are halfway to the breakeven point for this trip.
Old Business
· Al Schmidt reported that we do have a room
reservation for the wine & cheese party in November.
· Henry
indicated that the arrangements for the Ladies Spring Luncheon are all set.
· Ron Howley
suggested that we should have a follow-up outside cleanup event in the fall to
address the sides and back of the club. Bernie reported that Neal Tully
purchased and replaced three more azaleas in the front.
· Mike
Underwood indicated that he will arrange a 4th of July committee
soon to get things started for the parade preparation. Bernie will generate a
calling list for the committee.
·
Bill Brown has received a sample hat for consideration to replace the skimmers
used for the parade. John Cokos indicated that he has two other sources that he
will contact and get estimates. Bernie requested that he also get information
regarding the digital format required for the logo.
New Business
· Bill Brown
announced that Boscovs has a sale on K-cup coffee this week. The notice will be
passed on to Bud for consideration. Bill also presented a small book on the
construction of the Kroc center which he was given when he dropped off books at
the center.
· There was a
discussion regarding another training session for the defibrillator which we
have at the club. Walt indicated that to properly use the device, you should
also be trained in CPR. Although the defibrilator training could be done at a
regular Thursday meeting, the CPR training is more extensive and would best be
provided in a separate meeting for those interested in the training. . Walt
will discuss the issue with Neal Tully and Al Schmidt and propose atheir
recommended action.
The meeting adjourned at 10:55AM.
