June

The board of directors meeting of the Haddonfield 65 Club was held on Thursday June 2, 2016. President Wise called the meeting to order at 10 AM. Roll was called and 12 members were present.
The secretary read the board meeting minutes from May 5, 2016. The minutes were approved as read.
Walt Baker gave the treasurers report and it was approved for audit. Walt reported that he received notice from Republic Bank that two CDs were coming due. The board agreed to renew the CDs but to stagger the length to 1 year and 18 months. He also requested and received approval by the board to again send $100 to the Haddonfield Community Calendar.

New Members

· John Geist was approved for guest membership in the club.

Trips

· Bill Brown reported that 22 people are signing up for the Linc, lunch and car museum trip on June 28th. In addition, Bill and Jack Aharon are looking into a Bucks County trip to a winery, brewery and distillery.
· Bud Pusatere is investigating a Phillies trip and raised the question of obtaining 300 level seats for $30 or 200 level seats for $40. The board agreed to go for the $40, 200 level seats. A date has not yet been selected for the trip.

Old Business

· A discussion was held regarding host a separate meeting open to the public for a presentation by Roger Clark. This would be an open event sponsored by the club for Roger to discuss the work he did which has led to nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize. Henry will discuss with Roger as well as check on the availability of Borough Hall to host the event.
· Mike Underwood reported that the 4th of July committee has met once and the theme for the event has been chosen. The next meeting is planned for after the business meeting on June 9th.

New Business

· Jack Aharon asked if we are going to have the wine & cheese party again this year. The board agreed that this is an event worth having and do plan to have it.
· Bernie Schaming reported that we will participate in the flea market again this year. We will again put a request for donations in the local papers since this has worked out well in the past. We have not yet received the date or the request for participation from the Lions Club.

The meeting adjourned at 10:45AM.
