May, 2023

The Board of Directors meeting of the Haddonfield 65 Club was held on Thursday May 4, 2023. The meeting was held in the 65 Club clubhouse.

President David Tarditi called the meeting to order at 10:00 AM. Dave Tarditi led the directors in the Pledge of Allegiance, singing of God Bless America and provided a prayer.

Roll was called and thirteen (13) board members were present.  

Minutes –Fred Willis

  • The April minutes, which had been distributed and posted earlier, were approved by the Directors.

President’s Report – David Tarditi

  • Spring Luncheon
    • Calling members to remind them to attend the luncheon resulted in only two or three additional attendees.
    • The latest count is 63 members and spouses and four guests are coming
    • Based upon these numbers the club subsidy for the luncheon will be about $200, which had been expected.
    • The $250 deposit to Tavistock will be credited to the fall Stag luncheon.
  • Urban Promise

o   The club will travel to Urban Promise in Camden on May 16 to meet with the students.

o   The meeting format is currently unknown. Doug Crawford will be contacted on this issue.

 

Treasurers Report – Hank Zaleski

  • Hank informed the Directors that a surge in membership renewals and new members occurred in April. As a result, the budget forecast for membership dues for 2023 has been met. Only one member was dropped for not paying dues
  • The club has spent $600 on new member activities.  This amount was not budgeted for in 2023 but will be a line item in the 2024 budget.
  • There is a small increase in expense for food. This is the inflation effect.
  • Dave will present the club’s $1000 high school scholarship award.
  • The club’s income and expenses amounts are in accordance with projections and the club is meeting it annual financial plan.

  • Joe was unable to attend.

 

Membership – Chuck Kanupke

  • The following three new members were approved:
    • Joel Yudin – Haddonfield
    • Sheldon Master – Medford
    • James Ducey – Cherry Hill

 

Old Business

  • Indian King Skirmish – June 3
    • Volunteers are requested to man the three contribution collection points in Haddonfield.

 

 

 

 

 

New Business

  • 4th of July Parade
    • The theme will be `Ty- Our Service Dog’ or `Service Dogs’
    • Frank lodge is asking for members to suggest ways to present this theme. He requests emails with suggestions.
    • Ty will lead the 65 Club parade entry, if he is available. This must still be confirmed
    • There will be a parade committee meeting at the end of June.
  • Club Annual Directory
    • Bernie informed the directors the directory would be printed by Monday.
    • There are numerous positions which require a volunteer to organize the event.
    • After considerable discussion some positions were deleted, some were left open and an organizer for Luncheons was found.

 

The meeting adjourned at 11:25 am.
