  • Fall Luncheon
    • Fall Luncheon – this is being held at Kunkles. 38 memebers have signed up, 50 attendees are desired.  Phillies Dickie Noles will speak.
    • The BOD approved a maximum honorarium of $300 for Noles.
    • Tim will donate some spirits to the club for consumption at the Luncheon
  • I Bonds
    • Tim Barnes investigated switching some of the clubs’ CD’s to iBonds.  He discovered ibonds will currently pay about 9.75%  for six months then switch to a lower rate based on inflation.  The term is five (5) years with a three (3) month interest penalty if cashed in early.  The maximum investment is $10,000
    • After a discussion the Directors approved the treasurer to cash in two club CD’s worth about $8,100 and invest them in iBonds. The ibonds are liquid and the high six-month rates covers lost income if a cash in is required.
    • Tha directors approved to hold one CD in reserve to cover any emergencies in operating cash flow.
  • Boy Scouts
    • Troop 64 assisted the club at the Flea Market with loading the truck which removed the unsold items.  One member proposed the club donate $100 to the troop for its assistance.  Another member, who spent many years in the scouts, disagreed saying this action was a community action by the scouts who expected no payment.
    • After some discussion the Directors vote to approve the payment.

The meeting adjourned at 11:05 AM.

Respectfully submitted,

Fred Willis, Secretary
